e.g.etal - JEWELLERY GALLERY

For more than twenty years, e.g.etal has been a fixture of Australia’s creative landscape, renowned as one of Australia’s foremost destinations for contemporary jewellery. Showcasing the work of over 60 Australian and international artists, the gallery has long been celebrated for its role in fostering the local jewellery community and championing distinctive, handcrafted design.

Established in 1998 by jewellery designer Emma Goodsir, e.g.etal began in a modest 20-square-metre shopfront on Little Collins Street. From these small beginnings, the gallery cultivated a loyal following drawn to its unique collection, with custom commissions — particularly wedding and engagement rings — becoming a signature offering.

A new chapter began in 2022 when siblings Chelsea and Jaime Gough, of Native Tongue Music Publishing, became custodians of the gallery. Relocating from its basement on Flinders Lane to a luminous street-level space, e.g.etal has been reimagined for a new era. The interior balances boldness with warmth, its palette layered with textures and crafted details that speak to quality and workmanship. Line, shape, and scale are deployed with drama, offering an elegant backdrop that amplifies the artistry of the jewellery on display.

Today, e.g.etal remains a cultural icon — a place where design, craft, and community converge, and where every piece tells a story of innovation and individuality.
